Origin Related Services

PO Management: When PO is ordered with the vendor, USI is managing data integrity and variables such as quantity and ship window. We manage and develop reports for your review and measurement.

Buyers Consolidation: Our expertise at origin results in efficiently loaded containers. Shipping larger containers by mixing multiple vendors cargo together can save you money immediately!

Bar coding, Labeling: USI can manage data integrity! We print the labels; apply to cartons and scan matching against your initial PO. We then input the shipment information and relay.

Garment On-Hangers (GOH): Clean, organized warehouses manage your GOH. This loose hanging garment cargo is treated with affection to ensure it arrives at destination ready to be hung and sold.

Document Management: Documents are just as important as the cargo! We will work with your vendors to ensure the correct documents are delivered according to your timeframe.

Transportation Services

Sea-Freight: With our concentration on Import services from Asia and Europe, Universal Shipping Inc has carved a niche in the trade and appointed experienced and knowledgeable Procurement and Product Teams to manage our service offerings.

FCL Product: USI operating in a non-asset-based environment allows us the flexibility to work with a numerous selection of reliable carriers; making it possible for USI to provide our clients with multiple weekly sailings and a vast range of transit times – and to design solutions which meets the requirements of our clients.

LCL Product: When clients have overflow from a multi-vendor consolidation or single vendor FCL container or sourcing smaller lots, USI can provide our clients with weekly reliable LCL services, from CFS to CFS or Door to Door, loading containers to multiple Inland points in North America, with definite transit times.

Air-Freight: Universal Shipping Inc is working with variety Master co-loaders in Greater China and South East Asia, providing airfreight services and capacity to the USA and Europe

Customs Brokerage and Compliance

Whether your goods arrive via ocean or air, Universal Shipping Inc. Customs Broker Specialist has appointed dedicated partners with very experienced staff who will immediately take action to expedite the Customs clearance of your shipments. An account manager will work closely with you reviewing the items you import to properly classify the items as well as assess the documentation required to enter the items. Care is taken to assure that you benefit from any special provisions allowed by U.S. Customs.

Where possible, entries are pre-filed for pre-clearance of cargo prior to its arrival to the United States.

Through our network of correspondent Customs Brokers and the remote filing program, we are able to provide clearance of import cargo at any port in the United States. Other services we provide are Drawback Entries, Protests, Quota Handling, Classification Rulings, Customs Bonds, Food and Drug Administration clearances, Fish and Wildlife clearances, and U. S. Department of Agriculture clearances.

Destination Related Services

Trans-loading: Unload and re-load multiple origin containers into a larger domestic trailer. This may save you money twice; inland transport as well as reduced ocean freight.
